OSHA 10 hour for construction: 1 and ½ day course introducing employees to OSHA, employer and employee rights and responsibilities, basics in injury and illness reporting requirements, personal protective equipment, the Focus 4 Hazards in Construction, electrical hazard awareness, recordkeeping requirements, how to identify hazards in the workplace, and how to conduct and participate in hazard assessments; with additional topics that can be customized for the employer. This course is ideal for the employee / work force level employee that requires a basic knowledge of OSHA, the employee’s rights and responsibilities, and understanding of compliance requirements.

** OSHA 10 hour course must be done over 2 days. Does NOT have to be 2 consecutive days, but that is best.

** Class is taught in English – note taking is encouraged and there is a written exam.

This course provides a more in depth training in the common areas of industrial safety. Specific topics include; the OSHA Focus 4 hazards in construction, tools and equipment, stairways and ladders, material handling, excavations, electrical, cranes, hazard assessments, safety and health program development, injury and illness reporting, training employees, scaffolds, motorized and mechanized equipment operations, fall protection and prevention, competent and qualified person training and additional topics available for the employer to select from to customize the training.

** This course is conducted over 4 days. The days do NOT have to be consecutive.

** Class is taught in English – note taking is encouraged and there is a written exam.

Excavation Competent person / prep course for the OSHA 3010: 4 hour course that provides employees with training in Subpart P of OSHA 1926.650. Training includes; identification of the scope and application of subpart P in construction, terms and definitions, specific excavation requirements, protective systems, sloping and benching methods, basic soil classification information, and the definitions of competent and qualified persons. This course is designed to provide employees with basic knowledge to be able to identify hazardous conditions in the workplace relating to trenching and excavation. Upon completion of this training, employees will demonstrate understanding of the material and documented proficiency in the elements presented.

** A written test will be provided to each attendee as document of proficiency. This written exam will be provided to the employer for their use.

** Class is taught in English – note taking is encouraged and there is a written exam.

Competent Person Training for Confined Spaces

This 4 hour course is for employees and organizations that conduct confined space operations. Topics covered are: OSHA 1910.146, terms and definitions, compliance requirements, designations of duties and responsibilities for each employee assigned tom participate in Confined Space operations, types of atmospheric conditions, emergency action and rescue planning, creation and retention of documents and the employer’s written program and basic permitting processes.

** This class and materials are all presented in English. Note taking is recommended, and there is a written exam.
